The Renault Duster India launch is expected by late 2025. The Duster has been one of the most popular Renault SUVs in India and will return after a gap of a few years to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and other midsize SUVs.
The new Renault Duster will be built alongside the Nissan C-SUV, which will launch around the same time as the Renault. Both SUVs will have a lot in common, including body panels, interior bits and engine options. The Renault Duster feature list in India will include creature comforts like a large touchscreen and digital dials. It will also have a sunroof on higher variants.
The new Renault Duster is expected to be priced from around Rs 11 lakh for the entry-level model, going up to Rs 19 lakh for the top model. On the engine front, the new Renault Duster and the Nissan C-SUV will come with multiple petrol engine options. There will be a Renault Duster diesel on offer. The Renault Duster on-road price in India is expected to be similar to that of the Creta and the Seltos SUVs.
The Renault Duster is expected to be offered with two turbo-petrol engine options in India: a 1.0-litre unit and a 1.3-litre unit. Gearbox options will likely include a 6-speed manual or a CVT.
The Renault Duster will be positioned in the midsize SUV segment where it will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara.
The European-spec Dacia Duster has scored a 3-star safety rating at the Euro NCAP crash tests, although this rating will not be applicable for the India-bound model.
