Kia's Sorento SUV has made its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo 2018. The current-generation Sorento received a mid-cycle refresh recently, and as part of this update, it got a tweaked design and a new eight-speed automatic transmission. On the outside, the SUV now comes with a chrome-finished grille. The new high-spec GT-Line trim gets fog lights, red brake calipers and a chrome exhaust tip as standard.
The cabin features a new 8.0-inch infotainment system with TomTom sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a wireless phone charger. The GT Line variant adds black leather seats with contrasting grey stitching.
The engine options remain the same – a 188hp, 2.4-litre petrol, a 185hp, 2.0-litre diesel and a 200hp, 2.2-litre diesel. In addition to the new automatic transmission, the Sorento continues to offer the option of the six-speed auto and six-speed manual transmissions. Power is sent to the front wheels, though four-wheel drive is available as an optional extra.
Kia has also on display the new SP concept SUV which previews a future model to rival the Creta.
