Tata has rejigged the Nexon SUV's line-up for 2025, and it is currently available in four trims – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. Tata has also updated the prices of nearly all variants – now starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) – although the mechanicals remain unchanged.
Without further ado, here are the powertrain, comfort and convenience features, safety kit, and exterior colours available on each trim of the Nexon.
Tata has discontinued the Pure, Pure S, Creative Plus and Fearless trims, and introduced two new trims: Pure Plus and Pure Plus S. Depending on which Pure Plus variant you chose, you get features like a sunroof, a 10.24-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto-folding wing mirrors, a rear-view camera and rain-sensing wipers.
While the Creative variant now gets a 360-degree camera, only the Creative Plus PS variant gets a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, keyless entry and go and TPMS. Slotted in between, the Creative Plus S packs automatic headlights, a sunroof and rain-sensing wipers.
Apart from a panoramic sunroof, the new Fearless Plus PS comes with a 10.24-inch driver’s display, ventilated front seats, an air purifier and a 9-speaker JBL sound setup.
The Nexon Petrol comes with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 120hp and 170Nm. The Smart variants are offered with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. Pure trims take it one step up with a 6-speed manual and AMT units. The Creative trims get the most number of gearboxes – 6MT, 6AMT and DCA, whereas the range-topping Fearless variant comes with a 6-speed manual and DCA transmissions. Nexon's CNG models are available solely with a 6-speed manual across variants, and the turbocharged engine makes 100hp and 170Nm.
As for the Nexon's diesel line-up, the range starts from Smart Plus and all trims get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. An AMT unit is offered only in the Pure Plus, Creative and Fearless Plus PS variants. Notably, none of the diesel variants get a DCA gearbox. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder mill produces 115hp and 260Nm.
The Tata Nexon is available in seven paint shades (previously eight), out of which four are new – Grassland Beige, Royal Blue, Creative Blue and Carbon Black. Dual-tone colours are also available with the Creative and Fearless trims.
The base Smart and Pure variants get four colours, while the Pure additionally gets a Pure Grey colour. The Creative variant is available in seven colours, including dual-tone, while the top-spec Fearless is offered in dual-tone colours only, monotone Carbon Black being an exception.

The Tata Nexon competes with the Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue in the sub-compact SUV segment. Tata's SUV is still a competitvely priced offering compared to its rivals with a couple of powertrains on offer. However, a naturally aspirated petrol engine would complete the Nexon line-up and may open the gates for better pricing at the lower end.
