Hyundai has just launched the Exter, its smallest and most affordable SUV, for an introductory price range of Rs 6 lakh-10 lakh. The Exter is based on the same platform as the Grand i10 Nios and Aura, but it gets a different design. It features Hyundai’s parametric design in the grille, C-pillar and tail-gate, and gets an H-pattern signature for the lights. Let’s take a closer look at what features are offered with each trim.
The Exter comes in five trims – EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. All get the same 83hp, 114Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine as its hatchback and sedan siblings, and it is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Unlike the Grand i10 Nios and Aura, the AMT on the Exter is available on all but the base trim.
Hyundai is also offering a factory-fitted CNG kit on the Exter, producing 69hp and 95.2Nm of torque. In CNG-spec, it only gets the manual gearbox and is available on S and SX trims.
Following is the list of features you get on the Exter’s trims.
