Updated XUV400 gets new EC Pro and EL Pro trims; gets new 10.25-inch digital screens.

Mahindra just launched the refreshed XUV400 line-up with prices starting from Rs 15.49 lakh, going up to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices are introductory and applicable till May 31, 2024, with deliveries set to begin from February 1.
The updated XUV400 line-up continues to get two variants, but they're now called the EC Pro and EL Pro. We take a close look at the powertrain line-up and featues list available on each trim.
There have been no updates on the mechanical front, with both the EC Pro and EL Pro featuring the 34.5kWh battery pack, with the EL Pro additionally also getting a larger 39.4kWh battery. The EC Pro only gets a 3.3kW AC charger as standard, while the EL Pro comes with the faster 7.2kW AC charger for both the battery options.
The 34.5kWh battery has a claimed range of 375km, while the larger 39.4kWh battery boasts a claimed range of 456km, both tested on the MIDC cycle. The XUV400 gets disc brakes on all four wheels, three distinct drive modes as well as regenerative braking.
Following is the list of features you get on the XUV400 trims:
Powertrain: 34.5kWh battery with 3.3kW AC charger (Rs 15.49 lakh)
Powertrain: 34.5kWh/39.4kWh battery with 7.2kW charger (Rs 16.74 lakh-17.69 lakh)
In addition to features on the EC Pro:
The XUV400 competes with the Tata Nexon EV, which was also recently updated with fresh styling, new features as well as slightly longer range. However, the top-spec Empowered+ LR variant of the Nexon EV is now Rs 2.25 lakh over the top-spec EL pro variant of the XUV400. The XUV400 also competes with the MG ZS EV.
