Most affordable SUVs with panoramic sunroof

Sunroofs rank quite highly on the list of desirable features for Indian car buyers, so it's not surprising that automakers have made them commonplace in many of their present-day offerings. While single-pane sunroofs are available on lots of affordable cars, buyers are gravitating towards those with panoramic sunroofs, as they let in a greater amount of light, making the cabin feel more spacious, airy and premium. Here is a list of 10 most affordable SUVs (in descending order) that offer panoramic sunroofs.

    10. Mahindra XUV700

Available from AX5 Select variant onwards

    Price: Rs 16.89 lakh

The Mahindra XUV700’s AX5 Select trim is the most affordable variant in the range to come equipped with a panoramic sunroof. The 200hp, 380Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 185hp, 420Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engines make it the most powerful SUV on this list. Both engines are mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter, with the latter bumping the diesel unit’s torque output to 450Nm.

    9. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

Available from V NeoDrive variant onwards

    Price: 16.04 lakh

The Toyota Hyryder gets the panoramic sunroof starting from its top-spec V NeoDrive trim. This variant gets a 103hp, 137Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine with a mild-hybird setup. It's mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The lower-spec S and G manual trims can also be had with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The Hyryder’s strong-hybrid variants offer a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol strong-hybrid powertrain developing a combined 115hp that's mated to an e-CVT.

    8. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Available from Alpha (mild hybrid) variant onwards

    Price: 15.76 lakh

As the Hyryder's sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara also gets a panoramic sunroof from its Alpha variant onwards. Expectedly, the Grand Vitara is powered by the same powertrains and offers the same transmission options as the Hyryder, but the Maruti SUV is slightly more affordable.

    7. Tata Nexon

    Available from Fearless+ PS onwards

    Price: 13.70 lakh

Tata equips the Nexon with a panoramic sunroof starting from the compact SUV’s top-spec Fearless+ PS variants – the most affordable being the CNG manual trim. The Nexon stands out in this list as the only CNG SUV to offer a panoramic sunroof, in addition to its two petrol and one diesel engine options.

    6. Kia Seltos

    Available from HTK(O) variant onwards

    Price: 12.99 lakh

Kia recently refreshed the Seltos for 2025, adding multiple new variants to the range. The new mid-spec Seltos HTK(O) trim now serves as the baseline for a panoramic sunroof, and engine choices for this variant comprise two 1.5-litre engines – a 115hp, 144Nm petrol and a 116hp, 250Nm diesel. Buyers who opt for the Seltos’ GT-line variants and above can opt for a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, a CVT, a 6-speed torque converter, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

    5. Hyundai Creta

    Available from EX(O) variant onwards

    Price: Rs 12.97 lakh

Much like the Seltos, the Hyundai Creta line-up was rejigged recently with the addition of two new variants. Of these, the EX(O) trim is now the most affordable variant to come equipped with a panoramic sunroof. This variant can be had with the same petrol and diesel engines available on the Seltos, with higher variants getting the 1.5-litre turbo petrols.

    4. Mahindra XUV 3XO

    Available only in AX7 variant

    Price: Rs 12.56 lakh

The Mahindra XUV 3XO’s panoramic sunroof is exclusively available in its range-topping AX7 variants. These trims get a 131hp, 230Nm 1.2-litre three-cylinder direct injection turbo-petrol engine, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter. There’s also a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel unit that develops 117hp and 300Nm, which can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT gearbox.

    3. MG Astor

    Available from Shine variant onwards

    Price: Rs 12.48 lakh

The MG Astor received a model year update for 2025 recently, which added a panoramic sunroof from its Shine trim onwards. However, this refresh came alongside the discontinuation of the Astor’s 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine option – now, it only comes with the 110hp, 144Nm 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol mated to either a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.

    2. Tata Curvv

Available from Pure+ S variant onwards

    Price: Rs 11.87 lakh

The Tata Curvv coupe-SUV gets a panoramic sunroof starting from its Pure+ S trim. This specific variant comes equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine generating 120hp and 170Nm that's paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Higher Curvv variants offer a stronger 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine developing 125hp and 225Nm, as well as a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel that puts out 115hp and 260Nm. These engine options can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

    1. Kia Syros

    Available from HTK+ variant onwards

    Price: Rs 11.50 lakh

Kia’s newly-launched Syros compact SUV gets a panoramic sunroof from its HTK+ variant onwards, making it the most affordable SUV to offer this feature. Since space is one of the Syros’ core design tenets, it comes as no surprise that it’s one of the few sub-4m SUVs to come equipped with a panoramic sunroof. The Syros can be had with a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 116hp and 250Nm, as well as a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor that’s good for 120hp and 172Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual as standard – the petrol can also be optioned with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the diesel can be had with a 6-speed torque converter.
