The new C 400 X premium midsize scooter joins as the latest member of the BMW Motorrad C family. It gets a newly developed 34hp, single-cylinder engine, which makes 35Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Power transmission is via a CVT gearbox and a torsionally stiff drivetrain swingarm. It also gets Automatic Stability Control (ASC), which ensures increased safety during acceleration, especially on slippery surfaces.
The midsize scooter sports a rugged tubular frame made of steel, and gets a telescopic fork at the front and two spring struts at the rear. Braking is taken care of by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, along with ABS as standard.
The scooter gets LED lighting technology as standard and a multifunctional instrument cluster with 6.5‑inch full-colour TFT screen is also available as an ex-works option.
BMW’s Motorrad Multi-Controller offers integrated operation where the rider can access vehicle and connectivity functions quickly and without being distracted from what is happening on the road. In addition to the convenience of being able to use the phone and listen to music during travel, there is also the benefit of effortless navigation by means of a practical system of arrows.
Storage comprises two integrated compartments and the Flexcase under the single-section seat. The BMW C 400 X comes with a choice of two paint finishes – metallic Zenith Blue and non-metallic Alpine White.
