Two years after Classic Legends showed off a scrambler concept based on the Gold Star 650, the company has now revealed the production-ready bike.

    1. Uses the same 652cc, single-cylinder engine
    2. Gets different suspension and new tyres
    3. Goes on sale in 2025, available in two colours

BSA B65: How similar is it to the Gold Star?

The new BSA B65 Scrambler is the second bike from Classic Legends under the BSA umbrella. It features multiple changes that help transform the Gold Star into a scrambler.

The most relevant mechanical change is the shift to a 19-inch front wheel (compared to the Gold Star’s 18-inch), while the rear remains a 17-inch unit. The tyres have changed too, going from the retro Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp to the dual-purpose Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR. The front tyre is also wider compared to the Gold Star. Longer travel suspension is a possibility, but it has not been confirmed by the company.

Visual changes include a new high-rise front fender, redesigned side panels with a number board, and a sleeker-looking tail section. The BSA B65 also gets a smaller round LED headlamp and a new single-pod digital display, similar to what you’ll find on some Yezdi and Jawa models. The seat is also shorter with a slight rise in the rear.

Mechanically, things aren’t very different with the same 652cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 45hp and 55Nm. Weight has gone up by around 5 kilos to a total of 218kg. The BSA B65 Scrambler will go on sale in 2025 and it will compete directly with the new Royal Enfield Bear 650. Expect the price to be slightly higher than the Gold Star 650, which currently retails between Rs 3.00 lakh and Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
