Hero MotoCorp has announced a price hike for select motorcycles and scooters, effective April 1, 2023. The company says that the price increase will be done to offset the rise in costs on the back of the OBD-2 transition. The price increase will be around 2 percent, however, the specific amount will vary based on the model and market.
OBD-2 emission norms will come into effect next month and manufacturers have had to make the necessary changes to their two-wheelers to adhere to them. This, in turn, has led to a slight inrease in costs that needs to be passed on to the customer. A few days ago, Suzuki and Yamaha introduced their range of OBD-2 compliant two-wheelers, which also received a price hike.
