At the 2024 Bike Shed Moto Show, Royal Enfield unveiled a Flat Tracker that’s based on the Himalayan 450. The Flat Tracker shares its underpinnings with the Himalayan 450, but opts for slightly different componentry. The images reveal minimal carbon fibre bodywork in order to keep the overall weight low. It also appears to be equipped with telescopic forks as opposed to the USD fork found on the Himalayan.

    1. Uses telescopic fork like the Guerrilla 450
    2. Gets dual purpose tyres with alloy wheels

It is worth noting that the Guerrilla 450 was also spotted equipped with telescopic forks. However, it’s too soon to tell if this is the exact same setup. The new bike also appears to be using a different handlebar setup that has a digital speedometer or lap timer tacked onto it. The Flat Tracker also uses alloy wheels that are wrapped in a set of Maxxis tyres.

There is a new race exhaust used that does not appear road legal. This Flat Tracker could replace the existing FT411 currently being used by Royal Enfield. No specifications or figures have been disclosed as of yet, but given that this motorcycle is based on the Himalayan 450, we’ve got a rough idea of it’s figures – the Himalayan 450 is powered by a 452cc single-cylinder motor that produces 40hp and 40Nm of torque.

These images were shared by Mark Wells, head of Product Strategy and Industrial Design at Royal Enfield. The brand currently hasn’t disclosed any plans of a road-legal version of this motorcycle.
