TVS Raider 125 prices drop by over Rs 10,000 with new drum brake variant

    TVS Motor Company has announced a new entry-level variant of the Raider 125 that's priced at Rs 84,869. This brings the bike’s base price down by Rs 11,000.

    1. Raider 125 Drum gets same features list as Single-Seat variant
    2. Only available in red and black finishes; mechanically unchanged

    As the name implies, the new variant gets a 130mm drum brake – with a combined braking system – instead of the 240mm disc seen on the other variants. Apart from the drum brake, this variant shares its features list with the Single-Seat variant – from the LED headlight and LCD instrument cluster to the ride modes – that's priced at Rs 96,869. In fact, it is available with the same colour options as well: red and black.

    There are no changes mechanically and it continues to rival the 125cc Bajaj Pulsars, the Honda Shine, and the Hero Xtreme 125R. The 11.4hp, 11.2Nm 124.8cc single-cylinder engine continues unchanged. The top-spec Raider 125 SX costs Rs 1.04 lakh.
