MG Mifa 9 electric MPV: more details
The Mifa in the MPV’s name stands for Maximum, Intelligent, Friendly and Artistic. Despite having the same boxy shape as regular MPVs, the Mifa 9 does get some striking design elements. Up front, the MPV gets a slim LED Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) that runs from end-to-end, a large airdam lower down and a generous amount of chrome detailing. The chrome trim extends to the window frame along the sides, and on the diffuser at the rear. The tail-light mimics the LED DRLs up front, and spans the width of the MPV.

Measuring 5,270mm in length, 2,000mm in width and 1,840mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm, the Mifa 9 is larger than the Kia Carnival. Thanks to its large footprint, the range-topping MG Mifa 9 gets four captain seats with electric adjustment for the middle and third row. Meanwhile, the lower variants swap out the captain seats from the third row for a bench-style arrangement, enabling it to seat seven instead of six passengers. Up front, the Mifa 9 gets a wide touchscreen that, again, spans the entire width of the dashboard, and a two-spoke steering wheel.
As for the powertrain, the Mifa 9’s electric motor is capable of 245hp and 350Nm with a max speed of 180kph. It packs in a 90kWh battery, which gives the Mifa 9 a combined WLTP-certified range of up to 440km.
While it has been showcased on Indian soil, MG is yet to announce any plans of bringing the electric MPV to our market. MG also launched the facelifted Hector and Hector Plus SUVs at the ongoing motor show.
