Renault has become the latest carmaker to announce an extension for warranty and free service cover for its customers. Renault’s announcement follows that of Tata, Maruti Suzuki and Toyota who announced similar measures over the past few days.
Renault to extend expiring warranties and free service schedules till July 31
Valid for models whose warranty/free service period expires between April 1 and May 31
With restriction in movements and lockdown measures in force across many states, the carmaker has said that it will be extending the warranty cover and free service period for its range of cars and SUVs to July 31, 2021. The carmaker has said that the extension will be applicable for all Renault cars and SUVs whose free service or warranty period expires between April 1 and May 31, 2021.
The carmaker said that it would also continue to offer 24x7 roadside assistance across the country to its customers.
The carmaker also reaffirmed its commitment to offer a safe and hygienic experience to all its customers including offerings digital means of viewing and purchasing the carmaker’s range of vehicles.
Renault also recently hiked prices for its all-new compact SUV, the Kiger, increasing prices by up to Rs 30,000 depending on the variant. It was also one of the first automakers to offer a voluntary scrappage option to prospective customers having announced a tie-up with Cero Recycling to provide the service last month.
Renault has launched two products in 2021 so far, the all-new Kiger compact SUV and giving the Triber an update bringing in more features and dual-tone colour options. The latter is also expected to receive the turbo-petrol engine option from the Kiger in the future.
