Renault is offering its cars and SUVs with an extended warranty of up to 7 years/1 lakh km under the its Anytime Warranty Plan. The plan allows owners to extend their existing warranties by 1-year/20,000 starting from the third year, until the seventh year of ownership (subject to a cap of 1 lakh km).
Renault offers a 2-year /50,000km warranty as standard across nearly all its models – the exception is the Kwid, which gets a 4-year/1 lakh km warranty standard. This can be extended up to 5-year/1 lakh km under Renault’s standard extended warranty schemes. Under the Anytime Warranty Plan, owners can extended their standard warranty or extended warranty, to cover the car up until the seventh year of ownership or up to 1 lakh km. Customers can also avail of warranty coverage under the scheme even if their warranty package has expired and/or if the car has not been serviced at authorised service centres.
The warranty plan offers coverage for major components such as engine, gearbox, ECM, starter motor, alternator, differential, AC compressor and the steering box. Also offered with the package is roadside assistance service.
Prices for the Anytime Warranty Plans range from Rs 5,775 for the third year for a Renault Kwid 0.8 and go as high as Rs 21,550 for coverage for the seventh year for the Renault Lodgy, if the car has been maintained at an authorised service centre. For cars serviced at third-party garages, prices range from Rs 8,390 to Rs 34,175, for same.
The same plans are also on offer on now discontinued Renault models such as the Pulse hatchback, Scala sedan, Fluence executive sedan and the Koleos SUV, with prices ranging from Rs 7,820 to Rs 94,810 depending on model, year of coverage and service history.
