Tata has launched the Nexon facelift with prices ranging from Rs 6.95 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 8.45 lakh for diesel version. The variant-wise prices for the Nexon facelift are as follows:

Design changes to the Nexon are in-line with its EV sibling with a revised front fascia and a more upright look to meet the upcoming pedestrian safety norms coming into effect later this year. A major point of difference between the standard SUV and EV is the blue highlights on the exterior of the latter.

Inside the cabin too there are a few updates. The traditional instrument cluster has made way for a digitised unit – the unit from the Tiago and not the part-digital unit from the Nexon EV, a new flat-bottom steering unit and the use of lighter colours.

Under the hood, the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel have been upgraded to meet BS6 emission norms. Both units continue to develop an identical 110hp/170Nm and 110hp/260Nm as their BS4 counterparts respectively. Gearbox options for both units include a 6-speed manual or AMT unit.

The Nexon facelift is available in 5 trim levels – XE, XM, XZ, XZ+ and XZ+(O) – with the XM, XZ+ and XZ+(O) offering the option for an AMT gearbox. The entry level XE trim gets all the basic kit such as dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, front power windows, manual AC and interestingly projector headlamps. Higher trims add in kit like rear AC vents, auto climate control, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, keyless-entry and go, auto wipers and headlamps, LED DRLs with integrated turn indicators, cruise control and a powered sunroof, to name a few.

The Nexon was Tata's first model to receive a five-star safety rating from Global NCAP - it was followed recently by the Altroz.

The Nexon facelift rivals the Maruti Vitara Brezza – which will soon get a facelift – the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300.
