Having lost its third position in the market to Mahindra, Tata Motors is eager to regain its standing in October. To help improve sales, the company continues to offer big discounts and benefits on its entire portfolio to lure buyers. In fact, there are plenty of MY2023 models still available at many dealerships, and these get the maximum benefits. Here’s how much you could save on your new Tata car or SUV this month.

Tata Harrier
Save up to Rs 1.33 lakh
Some Tata dealerships still have unsold MY2023 inventory, including the pre-facelift Harrier. These models have total discounts of Rs 1.33 lakh, while facelifted models produced last year have up to Rs 50,000 off. Those who opt for MY2024 Harriers can avail benefits up to Rs 25,000 as an exchange or scrappage bonus.
The Harrier comes with a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine, which can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The MG Hector rival is currently priced between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 25.89 lakh.
Tata Safari
Save up to Rs 1.33 lakh
Pre-facelift versions of Tata’s 3-row flagship SUV are available with the same discounts as the Harrier: Rs 50,000 off on MY2023 models and Rs 25,000 off on MY2024 models. The Safari rivals the Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector Plus, and costs between Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 26.79 lakh.
Tata Nexon
Save up to Rs 95,000
Tata’s compact SUV gets up to Rs 95,000 in discounts on the pre-facelift petrol models produced last year; diesel versions get up to Rs 80,000 off. The Nexon facelift was introduced last September, and MY2023 models get benefits of up to Rs 40,000; MY2024 versions have between Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000 off, depending on the powertrain selected.
The Nexon is currently available with a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol or a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, both of which get manual and automatic options. Prices now range between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh. The brand recently introduced the Nexon iCNG, which is priced from Rs 8.99 lakh-14.59 lakh.
Tata Tiago
Save up to Rs 90,000
Tata’s most affordable model, priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 8.75 lakh, gets discounts of up to Rs 90,000 on MY23 petrol models; MY23 CNG variants get up to Rs 85,000 off. Meanwhile, MY2024 Tiagos have discounts of up to Rs 30,000 on the higher variants, while the lower trims see benefits worth Rs 20,000. The Tiago comes with a 1.2-litre engine that makes 86hp on petrol and 73.4hp on CNG, and comes with manual and AMT gearbox options. Rivals include the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Maruti Swift.
Tata Tigor
Save up to Rs 85,000
MY2023 models of the petrol and CNG Tigor gets most discounts of up to Rs 85,000 this month. All variants of the MY2024 model, barring the entry-level XE, have benefits up to Rs 30,000; the Tigor XE gets up to Rs 20,000 off. Tata’s Hyundai Aura and Maruti Dzire rival comes with the same 1.2-litre engine as the Tiago, and has the same gearbox options. Prices range between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9.4 lakh.
Tata Altroz
Save up to Rs 70,000
Like with the rest of the line-up, MY2023 petrol and diesel versions of the brand’s premium hatchback get discounts of up to Rs 70,000, while Altroz CNGs made last year have discounts up to Rs 55,000. Mid-spec and higher-spec MY2024 Altroz variants can be had with discounts between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000. Those interested in the Altroz Racer – powered by a 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and costs between Rs 9.49 lakh and Rs 10.99 lakh – can get up to Rs 50,000 off this month.
The standard Altroz, which is priced between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 11.16 lakh gets three engine options: an 88hp, 1.2-litre petrol; 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel; and 73.5hp, 1.2-litre CNG. However, it’s only the petrol that gets an automatic gearbox option in the form of a 6-speed dual-clutch unit.
Tata Punch
Save up to Rs 18,000
Regardless of whether one picks the MY2023 or MY2024 model, buyers of the Punch can get discounts and benefits of up to Rs 18,000 on the petrol variants, and up to Rs 15,000 off on the CNG variants. The Hyundai Exter rival comes with a 1.2-litre engine that makes 88hp when running on petrol and 73.5hp on CNG. Petrol variants get a 5-speed AMT option. The Punch is currently priced between Rs 6.13 lakh and Rs 10.12 lakh.
