    2017 Mahindra Scorpio facelift price, variants explained

    Mahindra has brought out its new Scorpio with prices starting at Rs 9.97 lakh for the base-spec S3 trim and going up to Rs 16.01 lakh for the top-spec 4WD S11 variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The major talking point on the refreshed SUV is uprated 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, only available on the higher variants, which now makes 140hp and 320Nm of peak torque, and is mated to a new six-speed manual gearbox. The refreshed SUV also comes with a few cosmetic changes on the inside and outside.

    With a total of four trim levels, here’s all the equipment and features that are offered with each variant:

    Mahindra Scorpio S3

    • 75hp, 2.5-litre diesel engine
    • Five-speed manual gearbox
    • 15-inch steel wheels
    • Black grille inserts
    • Engine start-stop function
    • Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC)
    • Vinyl upholstery
    • Seat configurations: Seven-seat with side facing last row and nine-seat with side facing last row

    Mahindra Scorpio S5

    • 120hp, 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine
    • Five-speed manual gearbox
    • 17-inch steel wheels with wheel caps
    • Body coloured bumpers and side cladding
    • Fabric upholstery
    • Power outlets in the first and second rows
    • Follow-me-home headlamps
    • Dual-front airbags
    • ABS
    • Speed sensing door locks

    Mahindra Scorpio S7

    • 120hp and 140hp, 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine
    • Six-speed manual
    • Silver-finished grille inserts
    • Rear spoiler
    • Chrome-finished AC vents

    • 2-Din audio system with CD, USB and Aux-in
    • Rear parking sensors
    • Driver’s seat height adjust

    • Faux leather upholstery on steering and gear lever
    • Seating configurations: Seven-seat with side facing last row, eight-seat with front facing last row and seven-seat with captain seats
    • Auto-up for the driver’s side window when the engine is turned off
