Nissan is set to launch an all-new Creta rival by early 2026. It has partially revealed this new SUV, which is currently known as the Nissan C-SUV and could be named the Terrano at launch. This upcoming
Hyundai Creta,
Kia Seltos, and
Tata Curvv rival will be based on the all-new
Renault Duster SUV, which is also launching in India next year. Both SUVs, the new Duster and its Nissan counterpart, will be built at the Chennai plant for domestic and export markets. Nissan C-SUV will come with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine;there will be no CNG or diesel option.
As for dimensions and features, Nissan’s Creta rival will be as big as the new Renault Duster sold abroad; the interior will also have common bits, but Nissan’s version is expected to be more upmarket than the Duster and have fewer variants. Nissan will target the higher end of the C-segment SUV segment when it launches its contender India.
