The BS6 Benelli TRK 502 has been launched at an introductory price of Rs. 4.80 lakh. The adventure tourer will also be available in a Pure White and Benelli Red colour scheme that will cost you another Rs 10,000 at Rs. 4.90 lakh.
BS6 Benelli TRK 502 prices start at Rs 4.8 lakh
Gets updated instrument cluster, new switchgear and more
Bookings open for Rs 10,000
At this price point, the bike costs Rs 30,000 less than its predecessor. However, Benelli has stated that this is an introductory price and that it will increase soon. The manufacturer followed a similar approach for the previous iterations of the bike, and those models saw a hike of Rs 10,000 once the introductory period ended.
The press release has no mention of the more off-road biased TRK 502X, but we suspect Benelli will introduce that model soon.
The BS6-compliant model has received some notable updates, apart from the updated emission norm-compliant engine.
Updated Benelli TRK 502 features
The BS6 Benelli TRK 502 features an updated instrument cluster. While it continues to be a digi-analogue unit and uses the same layout, the analogue tachometer and small digital display are now backlit. The earlier leaked images also confirmed that there were no differences in the amount of information that this display will convey. While we’re on the subject, the switchgear has been updated as well and that too, is now backlit. The switches are different as well and appear notably more premium than the ones on the previous model.
Other changes are minor - the front mudguard now has a body-colour finish, rather than the black one like on the older model, the handguards are different, and the mirrors are larger while also getting a new textured finish.
The rest of the bike, from the looks of it, remains largely unchanged.
Updated Benelli TRK 502 engine
The BS6 TRK 502 is powered by the same 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine and peak output figures remain identical as well, at 47.5hp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.
Updated Benelli TRK 502 price
As we mentioned earlier, prices for the TRK 502 start at Rs 4.8 lakh (ex-showroom). If you’re interested, dealerships across the country are accepting bookings for Rs 10,000 and deliveries have begun, as well. The TRK comes with a 3-year/unlimited km warranty.
At its price point, the TRK 502 is notably more affordable than its most direct rivals - the Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 6.79 lakh) and the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT (Rs 8.84 lakh).
All prices ex-showroom, Delhi
