Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to make a splash at the Auto Expo 2025. The company will launch four products at the show, all of which have already been revealed.

    1. Xtreme 250R will debut Hero’s first 250cc engine
    2. Xoom 160 will be Hero’s first liquid-cooled scooter
    3. Vida Z will be the practical family EV from Hero

Perhaps the most anticipated launch is that of the new Hero Xoom 160, which was shown off at EICMA 2023. This is a maxi-scooter that runs on 14-inch wheels and debuts a new liquid cooled 14hp, 13.7Nm 156cc, single-cylinder engine. The Xoom 160 weighs 141kg and comes with keyless ignition, a fully digital dash, remote seat opening and split-LED headlights. This scooter will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SXR 160 and marks Hero’s entry into uncharted territory. So, it will be interesting to see where it slots in. For reference, the Yamaha Aerox is priced between Rs 1.49 lakh and Rs 1.53 lakh.

Hero is also gearing up to launch the new Vida Z electric scooter that was revealed at EICMA 2024. The Z is the second model in the Vida line-up, and it is positioned as more of a family scooter. With relatively simple features such as a conventional key start, this is likely to be one of the most affordable Hero electric scooters. The Vida Z's underpinnings will be similar to the Vida V2, but expect it to cost less than the equivalent V2 variant when it launches.

As for motorcycles, Hero will launch the Xtreme 250R and the Xpulse 210. The new Hero Xtreme 250R debuts a new 250cc liquid-cooled engine that is based on the Karizma XMR's 210cc motor. Finally, the new Hero Xpulse 210 uses the same 210 engine as the Karizma XMR, but with some internal revisions to improve its tractability.

The Xpulse 210 is likely to be positioned around Rs 20,000-40,000 higher than the existing Xpulse 200 4V that will continue to be on sale. As for the Xtreme 250R, we expect it to be positioned around the Rs 2 lakh mark.
