Honda India is drip-feeding us with teasers of its upcoming electric scooter for India and the latest one reveals a significant mechanical detail.

    1. Motor appears to be the same as CUV e:
    2. Rear suspension likely to be a monoshock
    3. Will likely use a drum brake at the rear

    Honda electric scooter: another teaser

The second teaser shows us the motor of the upcoming Honda electric scooter clearly. And this is the same motor as the CUV e: that was shown at the recently concluded EICMA 2024. That confirms that some of the mechanicals of both the Honda electric scooters will be shared to some extent.

We can also make out that there is a suspension mount attached to the top of the motor, and since there’s no such mount visible on the other side, it will likely use a monoshock. There’s also the faint makings of a drum brake visible, again another similarity to the CUV e:.

The rest of the Honda electric scooter remains shrouded in mystery and we expect more teasers to trickle in ahead of its November 27 debut.
