Honda H’ness CB350 launched at Rs 1.9 lakh

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the new H'ness CB350 with prices starting at Rs 1.9 lakh. The motorcycle marks Honda's foray into the 300-350cc modern-classic segment and has been built completely from the ground up.

    Honda H'ness CB350 design details

Honda clearly has hit the spot with the design of the H'ness CB350. The styling is inspired by yesteryear Honda CB motorcycles, which is evident in the round LED headlamp, the shape of the tank and the large 'Honda' badge that runs across. Completing the Honda H'ness CB350's modern classic looks are the chrome fenders, rear shock absorbers and exhaust pipe. There is a smattering of chrome on the engine fins and cases as well.

    Honda H'ness CB350 engine details

The new Honda H’ness CB350 is powered by a 348.36cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20.8hp at 5,500rpm and 30Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. The peak torque figure is produced rather low in the rev range and this should enable good initial performance off the line. The H’ness CB350 employs a 5-speed gearbox.

Honda H'ness CB350 chassis and features

The aforementioned single-cylinder engine sits inside what Honda tells us is an all-new double-cradle frame. The H'ness CB350 uses a disc brake at either end – a 310mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. Suspension is handled by a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Its tyres, meanwhile, measure 100/90-19 at the front and 130/70-18 at the rear. The H’ness CB350 has a 15-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 181kg.

Honda tells us that the H’ness CB350 comes with many first-in-segment features like Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS), Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and an assist and slipper clutch. With HSVCS, you can connect your smartphone to the motorcycle and access features such as navigation, music, phone calls and incoming messages.

Lastly, apart from HSTC, another safety feature is the presence of dual-channel ABS.

Honda H'ness CB350 price and variants

Honda will offer the H’ness CB350 in two variants – DLX and DLX Pro. The Pro version will be available with dual-tone paint options, two-unit horn, and Honda Smartphone Voice Control System. Honda has only mentioned that the bike is priced around Rs 1.9 lakh and we will update this space when exact prices for the two variants are revealed. The manufacturer has also said that it has opened bookings for the H’ness CB350.
