From the teaser released by Hero, we can see that the Destini 125 gets all-new styling, with a more square-ish headlight (it is an LED unit) design than the current scooter. The front indicators on the updated Destini 125 are now positioned horizontally instead of vertically and all the chrome finishes visible are in bronze, not silver like the current model.

The taillight, also an LED now, is also new and has become much sleeker than the current Destini’s rather bulbous halogen unit. A passenger backrest is visible on this top XTEC variant in the teaser as is a digital display. Expect the display to be Bluetooth-compatible on the XTEC variant.  What can also be made out is the presence of alloy wheels, presumably 12-inchers, and a front disc brake, although this could be given a miss on the lower variants.

The current Destini 125 is powered by an air-cooled, 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine producing 9.1hp at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. It remains to be seen if Hero makes any changes to the powerplant with this update. The current Destini 125 is priced at Rs 80,048 for the LX variant and Rs 86,538 for the XTEC variant. We are going to be riding the updated Destini 125 soon, so stay tuned for our coverage.
