Ola S1 new colours: details
The Ola S1 e-scooter has received nearly the whole range of colours of the S1 Pro, except the Freedom edition Khaki green colour that was announced to commemorate the Indian armed forces. This addition to the colour palette means that the S1 e-scooter is now offered in Marshmallow (yellow), Millennial Pink, Anthracite Grey, Midnight Blue and Matt Black.
Mechanically, Ola’s S1 e-scooter remains the same with a 3kWh battery, giving it a claimed IDC range of 141km in Eco mode. A full charge will take 5 hours when plugged into a regular 5A socket. The motor makes the same 5.5kW (nominal) and 8.5kW (peak) figures as the range-topping S1 Pro, but with an electronically limited top speed of 95kph. The S1 misses out on features such as cruise control and Hyper mode that are found on the S1 Pro. However, at 121kg, the S1 is 4kg lighter than the S1 Pro.
Recently, Ola rolled out the MoveOS 3.0 update to all its customers; you can read more about it here.
The Ola S1 is currently priced at Rs 99,999, making it Rs 40,000 cheaper than the flagship S1 Pro which continues to be offered with a Rs 10,000 discount. Ola also has plans to introduce a heavily reengineered, low-cost S1 Air to the market in Q1 2023, which will cost Rs 84,999. You can read more about it here.
All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi, including the FAME-II subsidy.
