TVS RTX 300 patented: What we know so far

The RTX 300 was first spied on the street last year, shortly after the brand announced an all-new 300cc RT-XD4 engine at the 2024 edition of MotoSoul. Later, undisguised images of this bike's pre-production model leaked from the Auto Expo 2025.

Incidentally, this design patent was registered just a day before the Auto Expo 2025 images surfaced. The pre-production unit and the design patents bear a strong resemblance, barring the purposeful beak upfront and crash guards seen on the bike spied at the Auto Expo, suggesting that these might be part of the optional accessories list.

The TVS RTX 300 was spied undisguised at the Auto Expo 2025.

This TVS adventure bike seems to draw inspiration from larger European adventure tourers, and the rear tail-light section design appears particularly similar to the Triumph Tiger 900. Another notable factor is the presence of a trellis frame with a rear bolt-on subframe.

Suspending this frame upfront is a USD fork that appears to have a decent amount of travel and a monoshock at the rear. In terms of wheel sizes, it is conclusive from the patents and the spy shots that this TVS ADV will be running on more road-biased 19-inch (F) and 17-inch (R) alloy wheels. This suggests that the focal point of this product is touring rather than off-roading.

    TVS RT-XD4 engine details

This new TVS adventure tourer will be powered by a 299cc engine rated to produce 35hp and 27Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

TVS could offer a quickshifter and additional safety features such as traction control and rider modes because the bike incorporates ride-by-wire throttle.

The official timeline for the RTX 300’s launch is unknown, but we can expect it to go on sale sometime this year.
