Yamaha has rolled out an update for the R15M that brings a new colour option with carbon fibre graphics, along with new features. The updated R15M in metallic grey continues to cost Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the new colour scheme called ‘Icon Performance’ with carbon fibre graphics is priced at Rs 2.08 lakh.

    1. Gets turn-by-turn navigation and new switchgear
    2. Remains mechanically unchanged

The carbon fibre pattern, created with a water-dipping technique, appears on the front cowl, side fairing, and rear fender. The bike also has a blacked-out front fender, new graphics on the fairing and the tank.

In addition to the visual changes, both versions of the R15M get new features like turn-by-turn navigation as well as music and volume control which can be accessed through the Yamaha Y-connect app on a smartphone. This new functionality is also enabled by new switchgear on the motorcycle. Despite the feature upgrades, price of the metallic grey version remains unchanged.

Under the new skin, the motorcycle is powered by the same liquid-cooled, 155cc, single cylinder engine which puts out 18.4hp and 14.2 Nm of torque which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a quick shifter. The suspension set up consists of USD fork and monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends with dual channel ABS.
