BMW Group India extends warranty, service packages till June 30

Warranty and service packages that were due to expire between March 31 and June 29, will now be valid till June 30, 2021.

BMW Group India has extended the validity of warranty and service packages for all BMW and Mini customers in India. The German luxury automaker follows the likes of Skoda, MahindraVolkswagenMercedes-BenzAudiRenaultTataMaruti Suzuki, and Toyota, all of whom have already offered such extensions to provide relief to their customers amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 induced pandemic.

BMW Group India announced that customers whose warranty and service packages were due to expire between March 31 and June 29, will now be valid till June 30, 2021. Furthermore, the BMW Group is undertaking intensive sanitisation of its workshops, showrooms and vehicles for customers’ safety. BMW and Mini dealerships have also enabled a safe test-drive experience for customers, where they will sanitise all vehicles before and after the test drives. For further safety, they will keep disinfectant wipes and hand sanitisers in all test drive cars at all times and use the air conditioning with fresh air intake mode on.

Speaking about the initiative, Vikram Pawah, president, BMW Group India, said, “At BMW Group, we stand together, because that is our culture and a strong value system which has always stood the test of time. We have once again undertaken comprehensive measures to support our customers to ensure a hassle-free ownership experience of their BMW and MINI vehicles during this unprecedented time. In 2021, BMW India has already launched the long-wheelbase 3 Series Gran Limousine, the performance-oriented 3 Series M340i, the updated 6 Series Gran Turismo and the petrol-powered M Sport variant of the new 2 Series sedan. BMW’s next launch in India is likely to be the facelifted 5 Series sedan in the coming months. 

Mini, meanwhile, recently launched the 2021 Countryman in India at Rs 39.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). In addition to that, the facelift for the Mini 3 Door has also been spotted testing on our roads.
