Honda will be showcasing many concepts at the Japan Mobility Show (Tokyo Motor Show) next month, with an electric sports car concept called the Honda Specialty Sports Concept being one of them.
- Specialty Sports concept could spawn a production EV
- Two concepts to focus on sustainability
- SCe e-scooter to sport battery swappable tech
Honda Specialty Sports concept
The Honda Specialty Sports concept will be one of the showstoppers from the brand, but Honda has not released any images or teasers yet. All we know is that this concept will be a born EV sports car which could go into production. Honda did show a bold-looking Sports EV concept in the 2017 edition of the Motor show, however, it remains to be seen whether that concept has any connection to the one being shown this year.
Honda SUSTANIA-C, POCKET concepts
Honda will bring a unique concept hatchback at the show called the Honda SUSTANIA-C concept, which, according to images released by the brand, looks more or less like the Honda e. The brand further says that the concept is built from acrylic resin that can be recycled and reused. Honda will also bring the Pocket Concept, a small motorcycle built with environmental sustainability in focus. Like the SUSTANIA-C, the Pocket Concept has also been made using acryalic resin, which can be recycled.
Honda CI-MEV concept
Essentially a two-door, two-seat EV, this concept aims at last-mile mobility and gets clever features like automated driving tech. This concept has been designed for areas where there's no public transportation available or for people unable to walk long distances.
Honda SC e Scooter concept
The Honda SC e is an electric scooter that gets battery swapping tech and is powered by a pair of Honda Mobile Power Pack e units.
