As per a recent Supreme Court ruling, the mandatory insurance period for two-wheelers has been raised to five years. This means that the base insurance cost has more than doubled, in most cases. As a result of the subsequent on-road price hike, the Dominar 400 ABS has now become a 2-lakh-rupee motorcycle.
While the insurance amount of the Dominar 400 ABS now sits at a substantial Rs 16,800, the insurance cost for every other Bajaj offering ranges between Rs 4,000-8,000. These are prices for one year of comprehensive coverage along with four years of third-party coverage.
The company’s Pulsar RS200 ABS now has an on-road cost of Rs 1.66 lakh, up from Rs 1.59 lakh.
