The hypercar has been customised by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division. The show car features bare carbon-fibre bodywork, with flashes of yellow and green across the exterior and interior, paying tribute to the car’s namesake, Ayrton Senna. Senna’s racing helmet was finished in yellow, green and black. No performance upgrades have been applied to the 800hp, 800Nm hypercar by MSO.

The Carbon Theme pack is one of five available from MSO for the Senna and adds seven-spoke carbon-fibre and aluminium wheels that weigh 10 percent lesser than the standard wheels and are now available across all Sennas. The wheels also have different-coloured wheel nuts for left and right wheels. The carmaker remains tight-lipped on the other four themes for the Senna.

The MSO personalisation requires 250 man-hours for just the yellow detailing on the sills, wing and front bodywork, alone. The brake calipers are finished in a Laurel Green.

Inside, there's black Alcantara upholstery for the seats, but the colour flourishes continue, with the seat stitching, speakers and steering wheel centre strip finished in yellow, while the door gas strut matches the brake calipers' green shade.

MSO boss Ansar Ali said: “With the car having generated so much interest since its unveiling, in December, we knew we needed to produce something very special in order to showcase the unique talents of MSO. I would not be at all surprised to see a rise in expressions of interest for MSO Visual carbon-fibre cars similar to this one.”
