General Motors India has refreshed the Chevrolet Sail hatchback and sedan. The updated models have been launched at a starting price of Rs 4.41 lakh and the Sail sedan is priced starting at Rs 5.19 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Sail models get slight cosmetic tweaks inside and out.

The exterior gets subtle changes and some extra usage of chrome. The headlamp and tail-lamp assemblies are also slightly redesigned.

On the inside, the new Sail models get a new dual-tone dashboard finished in black and beige, and a new steering wheel finished in black. The other changes include chrome surrounds to the AC vents and the gear-knob, ABS with EBD and airbags as per trims, and a new Beat-like double-DIN audio system.

Engines from the previous cars are retained. Power for the updated Sail models come from a 82.5bhp 1.2-litre petrol and 74bhp 1.3-litre diesel engines. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

These updated Sail models might help General Motors capitalise on the demand for cars at the start of this festive season.
