The A5 Sportback was already an inherently muscular shape, but the new S5 and RS5 bring a lot more aggression with its racy silver bits and larger 19-inch wheels. With the standard A5 no longer on sale, the S5 stands out even more, and its look is a highlight.
Audi S5 performance is strong too, but more impressive is how easy it is to exploit, and how usable everyday it is. The RS5 adds even more serious performance without sacrificing too much usability. While the Audi S5 Sportback does 0-100kph in just 4.8sec, the Audi RS5 Sportback does 0-100kph in just 3.9sec.
It's even reasonably comfortable on its standard passive dampers (adaptive ones are optional on the S5 and standard on the RS5) and 19-inch alloy wheels. Quattro AWD gives it leech like grip and lets even novice drivers deploy the performance effectively.
The Audi A5 Sportback derivatives get a 10.1-inch touchscreen, like the A4, but apart from that the interior is the same, high-quality place amply comfortable for four. Other features include Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, powered front seats with driver-side memory, leather and Alcantara upholstery, virtual cockpit digital dials, and exclusive to the RS5 are adaptive dampers and massaging sports front seats.
The Audi S5 sportback is priced at Rs 75.74 lakh while the Audi RS5 Sportback is priced at Rs 1.13 crore, ex-showroom India. Both models are CBU imports, and while the former is a little pricier than its chief rival, the BMW M340i, the latter is well priced compared to the BMW M4 Competition.
