Ather Energy has announced that it will set up its third manufacturing facility in Bidkin, Maharashtra. This new facility will manufacture both its line-up of electric scooters as well as battery packs.

  1. Ather among the top 4 in terms of EV sales
  2. Two distinct models in line-up - practical Rizta, sporty 450

Ather currently has two manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu, one dedicated to battery production and the other for vehicle assembly. The new facility in Maharashtra allows Ather to get closer to more markets in the country by reducing its logistics cost and speeding up delivery of its e-scooters to its customers.

Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra, said, "Maharashtra offers a conducive business environment and continues to be a top destination for investments. We are happy to have Ather in Maharashtra, solidifying the state’s position as India’s leading automotive and manufacturing hub.” He also took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to say that Ather’s Rs 2000 crore plus investment will generate employment for around 4000 people.
