The third generation of the Swift was finally launched at the 2018 Auto Expo. Maruti has added a new top-spec, Z+ variant to the new Swift range, positioning it above the Z variant which was the top-end in the previous model. The Z+ variant gets added goodies, like a touchscreen infotainment system, a Reverse Parking Camera, Navigation, DRL Projector Headlamps with the 'follow me home' function and 15-inch alloy wheels, finished in dual-tone.
With the addition, Swift is now available in four variants – L, V, Z and Z+ – followed by the ‘Xi’ suffix for the petrol iteration and ‘Di’ suffix for the diesel.
The prices of the Swift start at Rs 4.99 lakh and tops at Rs 8.29 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). For the first time in India, the Swift will be offered with a five-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). AMT option will be available in the VXi / VDi and ZXi / ZDi variants. Maruti has continued the same engines, even in the third generation Swift – an 83hp, 1.2-Litre petrol engine and a 75hp, 1.3-Litre Fiat-sourced multi-jet diesel engine.
Maruti has started to dispatch the Swift to the dealerships and we have got a compiled list of accessories you can customise your Swift with.
