Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, buying decision

Which is the better deal between the Husquarna Vitpilen 250 and the Triumph Speed 400?

Autocar India says: Both bikes are similarly priced for some time now, and Triumph is even offering a Rs 10,000 discount on the Speed 400 for the past couple of months. For 2025, though, the Speed 400 is priced at Rs 2.40 lakh, and offers more than the Husqvarna in terms of outright performance (40hp/37.5Nm vs 31hp /25Nm). It clearly was the faster bike in our performance tests as well.

However, Triumph recently pulled a surprise with the new Speed 400 T4, which is not only priced almost on par with the Husqvarna but also makes the same 31hp. The T4 promises to offer a more relaxed riding experience and our review of that bike will be out on September 29. So we’d suggest you wait for it before making a decision.

As far as value goes, you are certainly getting more for your money with the Triumph. However, the Husqvarna is quite an exciting bike to ride and it comes with a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. If you are not after just maximum performance, you may find the Husqvarna to be a more fun-to-ride bike.
