Bajaj CNG bike mileage, India launch
Considering that Bajaj has three different engines in the commuter category – 102cc, 115cc and 124cc – it remains to be seen which category the CNG bike will be based on, although the latter two are more probable. It is also entirely possible that Bajaj will offer this CNG technology in multiple variants with different engine capacities.
CNG is much less energy dense than petrol, but the running costs are considerably lower, which is what makes it so popular. Once launched, the Bajaj CNG bike could have the lowest running costs (in terms of fuel) in the industry. However, it will be interesting to see how much tank range the bike has as well as how Bajaj packages the entire system.
Not much is visible in these grainy spy images, but we can make out a few design elements with certainty. An LED headlight, a small front cowl, knuckle guards and new 5-spoke alloy wheels are visible here. What is also visible is that this will be a very practical and spacious machine, as most Indian commuter motorcycles tend to be.
Considering that the bike will be sub-125cc, it gets a disc brake only at the front, but whether Bajaj chooses to offer single-channel ABS, like on the Platina 110, remains to be seen.
The Bajaj Bruzer CNG bike is likely to be launched this festive season, and we expect it to be priced somewhere above the current Platina and CT range.
