Bajaj introduces its new Discover 125M, 'M' for mileage, the drum brake variant of which is priced at Rs 48,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the disc brake-equipped version is available for Rs 50,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Going by the looks, the 125M is unmistakably a Discover, retaining its family DNA, with a familiar angular headlight and twin pilot lamps that sit within the 125M’s bikini fairing, and a familiar instrument cluster, rider controls and muscular fuel tank that leads back to a neatly designed tail. The 125M comes with an electric-starter as standard that is charged by a low maintenance battery. Bajaj is also offering ten-spoke alloy wheels that are finished in black, similar to the motorcycle’s engine and exhaust.

The 125M features Bajaj’s proven four-stroke, 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled and carburetted DTS-i equipped powerplant that comes with a four-valve head. Maximum power output produced is 11.3bhp at 8000rpm, while peak torque is 1.10kgm at 6000rpm.

The 125M is built around a single downtube, semi-dual cradle steel frame, with telescopic front forks, and dual gas-charged shock absorbers bolted onto a rectangular section swingarm at rear. The 125M comes with a 1255mm wheelbase. For stopping power, Bajaj has provided the Discover 125M with drum brakes at the front and rear, with the option of a 200mm front petal disc.

This new Discover will be available in multiple paint shades – blue, red, magenta, green and silver in combination with blue and gold.
