Following Yamaha and TVS, Bajaj Auto has become the third motorcycle manufacturer to extend free services and warranty periods for all its products. The decision has been made in light of the 21-day countrywide lockdown as customers may struggle to get their vehicles serviced on time or avail warranty benefits which may expire during the period.

Now, warranty and free services of all vehicles that are expiring between March 20 and April 30 have been extended until May 31, 2020. Bajaj has also done the same with its commercial vehicles and extended its warranty duration by two months.

Commenting on this situation, Rakesh Sharma, executive director, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, In view of the current situation of a mandated lockdown owing to COVID-19, Bajaj Auto has decided to extend its service and warranty period of all our vehicles. While social distancing in such troubled times is our collective responsibility, we wanted to ensure that our customers do not face any hurdles as they will not be able to avail our services for the interim period.”
