John Abraham is actively looking into launching his own line of motorcycle helmets. The actor revealed this news last week on our Deep Drive podcast and stated that his ultimate goal is to prioritise safety, "My intent is very simple - my intent is safety. I will go through every possible certification to have a safe helmet rather than just a plain good looking helmet".

    1. Helmets will be made in multiple shell sizes for the best fit
    2. Safety will be the first priority for these helmets
    3. John has visited helmet factories in Italy and Spain

John Abraham’s line of helmets: what to expect?

John is an avid motorcyclist and has a deep passion for his helmets. "I'm obsessed with helmets and like how people buy clothes, I buy helmets." To that extent, he tells us that he has already visted some top motorcycle helmet factories in Spain and Italy to get a better understanding of the manufacturing process. In the same vein, he also briefly mentioned that the helmet would prioritise comfort for all, including through the use of multiple shell sizes.

As for why he wants to get into this business, the actor elaborated that he wants to do this as he finds it to be his calling. John has always been famously connected with superbikes in India, particularly since the first of the Dhoom movies came out in the year 2004. Given India's huge two wheeler market as well as our troubling motorcycle safety statistics, it is easy to understand why John Abraham wishes to go down this route. There's also the factor that he would be a highly influential voice amongst his millions of fans.

While all this seems promising, the actor has confirmed that the final product is still a considerable time away.

The premium motorcycle business in India has been rapidly growing in the past few years with multiple brands entering our market. However, recent regulation changes have made it very difficult to sell imported helmets in India unless they are locally manufactured and are certified to BIS safety norms.
