The KTM 390 SMC R, first showcased at EICMA 2024, has been spotted testing in India, confirming its potential launch. Here’s a breakdown of all the things the spy shots reveal.

    1. Based on the Adventure 390 S and Enduro R
    2. Gets the Duke’s 399cc engine
    3. Spotted with 17-inch wire spoke wheels

    KTM 390 SMC R details

The KTM 390 SMC-R, which is based on KTM’s Adventure 390 S and the Enduro R, has been spied testing. It seems to have a similar set up of 17-inch wire-spoke wheels as the bike showcased at EICMA 2024. Though not a lot can be made out of the spy shots about the bike’s styling, the rider’s triangle, in typical supermoto fashion, seems upright.

The KTM 390 SMC R is expected to feature the same 399cc liquid-cooled engine that powers the 390 Duke, delivering 45hp and 39Nm of peak torque through a 6-speed gearbox. While the state of tune of the motor hasn't been disclosed, it’s likely that the Supermoto would sport a modified final drive ratio to serve its intended purpose.

The supermoto segment in India has remained relatively unexplored, with very few entrants making their way into the market in the higher capacity segment. When KTM officially launches the 390 SMC R in the country in 2025, it will be the first sub-500cc locally manufactured supermoto to be introduced here.
