Suzuki Motorcycle India celebrated ‘Hayabusa Day’ on August 21 in Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad.

Named after the Peregrine falcon, the fastest bird in the world, the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is one of the most famous cult motorcycles in the world. As the first production motorcycle capable of breaking the 300kph barrier, it represents cutting-edge engineering at its very best. In the years since the first-generation Hayabusa wowed the world, faster motorcycles have been made, but the Hayabusa’s iconic stature and distinctive styling have won it a loyal following across the world.

Hayabusa Day is observed in Japan on August 23 with Hayabusa owners coming together to celebrate the legendary motorcycle. For the first time, Suzuki Motorcycles brought this Japanese tradition to India for Hayabusa enthusiasts who rode together in eight Indian cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai and Kolkata to commemorate one of the fastest motorcycles in the world.

According to Satoshi Uchida, managing director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, “Hayabusa Day celebrates the passion and spirit of owning and riding this legendary motorcycle and will instill a sense of pride and exclusivity among Hayabusa owners. We intend to make this an annual tradition to promote the big-bike culture and the cult following of the Hayabusa among Indian riders”. Suzuki Motorcycle India has been assembling the Hayabusa in India from CKD kits at its Gurgaon, Haryana facility since March this year.
