It's going to be a busy 2025 for Hero which will launch multiple new scooters and motorcycles in the coming months.
Xpulse 210
At EICMA last year, Hero finally revealed the XPulse 210, which uses the Karizma XMR 210’s engine; the Karizma’s engine makes 25.5hp, and the XPulse 210’s mill makes 24.6hp. Peak torque, at 20.7Nm, is the same on both. Hero says it has worked on reducing the peaky character of this engine for the XPulse via a myriad of internal changes, including new camshafts. The upcoming Xpulse 210 also weighs 11 kilos more at 170kg.
The design has also seen some changes, with the 210 having a more ADV-style downward slope from the fuel tank to the seat. In comparison, the 200’s fuel tank and seat were almost at the same level, more like a dual-sport motorcycle. With 210mm at the front and 205mm at the rear, the XPulse 210 also has a little more suspension travel than the 200. The XPulse 210 will be priced around Rs 20,000-30,000 above the XPulse 200, which costs between Rs 1.47 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh. Like with the current XPulse, the 210 will also have a taller, more off-road-focused rally variant on offer.
Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250
Alongside the XPulse 210, Hero also showed two new 250cc models – the Xtreme 250R and Karizma XMR 250. At the heart of both these new bikes is a 250cc engine making 30hp and 25Nm. To achieve this capacity increase, Hero has lengthened the stroke of its existing 210cc mill by 7mm.
The Karizma XMR 250 looks very similar to the 210, but there’s a new colour and small differences in the fairing’s design.
Where the Karizma is a familiar-looking thing, the Xtreme 250R is all-new. It has a typically aggressive streetfighter stance with a stepped-up pillion perch and angular tank extensions. Both these 250s are likely to be priced around the Rs 2 lakh mark.
New Scooters
We also expect to see four new Hero scooters launched in 2025. The first is the new Vida Z, which could be the most affordable Vida model, and there’s also the Destini 125 that we rode a couple of months back. Then there are the Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 that were revealed at EICMA 2023.
