An image depicting Audi’s possible future model plan has been leaked on the internet. As per the image, 2018 will see the launch of Audi’s new range-topping models with a new A8 and the all-new Q8 SUV.
Audi has already begun development of the new car with the Prologue concept that made its debut in 2014, expected to be the model’s design precursor. The all-new Q8 SUV has been confirmed for production in 2014. The range-topping SUV has been described by the company as an equal to the A8, but with the additional ability to go off-road. The model will go up against the likes of the BMW X6 and Range Rover Sport.
The model plan for 2018 also shows a R8 V6 – a possible entry-level variant for Audi’s supercar that the company could be developing. Another model that caught our eye on the image was the C-BEV, better known as the Q6 all-electric SUV. Audi has previewed the upcoming crossover in both all-electric and hydrogen-powered guise, with the e-tron Quattro concept and its sister car, the h-tron Quattro concept. Also planned for the year are the next-gen A6 sedan and A7 Sportback.
The year prior also seems to have a host of launches planned out, with Audi seeming keen on launching the next-gen Q5 in early 2017 along with its more powerful sibling, the SQ5. The manufacturer also seems to be preparing the R8 Spyder and the TT RS for a launch around the same time as well.
The second half of 2017 seems to be a lot more relaxed in terms of new models with notable models only being the sportier SQ7 and the all-electric Q7 e-tron.
