Come June 2019, the Ford EcoSport will go on sale in a new variant. This ‘Thunder’ variant will sit below the Titanium+ trim level and will feature unique visual embellishments. Spy pics suggest the Ford EcoSport Thunder will get matte black decals on the hood, at the sides, roof and a tailgate-mounted spare tyre cover. All the chrome accents have also been changed with gloss black inserts. This new version will also sport new design 17-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the EcoSport Thunder will get a new cloth upholstery option, though besides that, the rest of the features will remain the same as that offered on the Titanium trim. Even safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking camera and sensors, etc. will be carried over from the Titanium variant.

The Thunder will be offered with the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine as well as the 123hp, 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. We expect Ford to price the EcoSport Thunder at a slight premium over the Titanium trim, which is priced at Rs 9.57 lakh for the petrol and 10.00 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi).
