Lexus to showcase RC300h F Sport at Geneva

The F Sport model will sit below the V8-powered RC-F coupé when it goes on sale alongside the regular RC coupé in 2015.

Lexus will have on display the latest variant of its new RC coupé line-up at the Geneva motor show.

The RC300h F Sport features more aggressive styling than the standard coupé, as well the option of adaptive variable suspension. The AVS system allows drivers to choose from two damper settings, which Lexus says offers improved body control and more precise steering responses. The RC coupé features double wishbone suspension at the front, and a multilink setup at the rear.

Exterior upgrades include new 19-inch alloy wheels with a unique ten-spoke design, plus three new colours. Inside, the F Sport gets the same four-seat layout as the regular RC coupé, but benefits from a new mode-dependent dial layout similar to that used in the LFA hypercar. A bespoke leather steering wheel and gear leaver are also included, alongside a set of unique interior colour schemes.

The RC300h is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder dual-injection petrol engine developing 176bhp and 22.53kgm of torque. It's joined by an electric motor, which boosts total power output to 217bhp. The Lexus is  fitted with a CVT gearbox.
