Mahindra has announced that its newest offering, the Marazzo launched in September, has gathered more than 10,000 bookings.
The Marazzo is powered by a 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission. There's no automatic gearbox on offer. Mahindra is said to be working on an AMT variant too which is expected to be launched only around 2020.
There are four variants on offer – M2, M4, M6, and M8 – and they are all spaced quite far apart from each other in terms of price. All variants of the Marazzo get safety kit like ABS, EBD, dual airbags and four-wheel disc brakes, and features like central locking, power windows and even rear AC. The top-spec M8 gets the addition of 17-inch wheels, LED daytime running lamps, leather upholstery, cruise control, Android auto, and a reverse camera. You can opt for a seven or eight-seater model.
Dealers tell us that the M6 and the top-spec M8 variants are the most in demand and have a waiting period of two weeks to a month, depending on availability.
