Mahindra’s latest teaser video of the upcoming XUV300 facelift (dubbed XUV 3XO) confirms that it will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, something we confirmed last August. While the feature is expected to be reserved for the high-end trims, the XUV 3XO will be the most affordable SUV in India to be offered with a panoramic sunroof.

- Global debut on April 29
Mahindra XUV 3XO design overhaul
The XUV 3XO is all set to make its global debut on April 29 with an all-new identity. Apart from the new name, the facelifted XUV300 will also feature a major design overhaul, including a new vertically stacked headlamp setup, a redesigned grille and updated bumpers. The rear-end will also be completely revamped: new full-width LED tail-lights, a restyled tailgate with the new XUV 3XO badging in the middle and the registration plate now housed on the rear bumper. The updated SUV will also get new, dual-tone finish alloy wheels.
Mahindra XUV 3XO interior, features
The interior of the new XUV 3XO will be shared with the XUV400, so it will feature a new 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system as well as more modern looking HVAC controls. Apart from what the first-in-class panoramic sunroof, the XUV 3XO will also be packed with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and rear AC vents. It is yet to be seen if the new XUV 3XO will also be offered with ADAS safety tech like its rivals, the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
Mahindra XUV 3XO powertrains
The Mahindra XUV 3XO will retain the existing engine options, including the 1.5-litre diesel, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and the 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol (TGDi). The biggest change will be the addition of an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that’ll be offered with the TGDi engine. The other two engine options will continue to be offered with the 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.
Mahindra XUV 3XO expected price, rivals
We expect the XUV 3XO to be slightly pricier than the XUV300 considering all the changes and the addition of new features. Pricing could range between Rs 8.3 lakh-16 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival compact SUVs like the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.
