New Mahindra Scorpio S10 in demand

    Mahindra Scorpio S10.

Mahindra launched the new Scorpio on September 25, 2014. The new Scorpio is available in six trims – S2, S4, S6, S6 Plus, S8 and S10. The S4 and S10 trims also come with optional four wheel drive. A quick chat with some dealers across the country tells us that the top-spec S10 trim with 2WD is the most sought-after version in the new Scorpio’s line-up. Although there is no official word on total bookings yet, dealers we spoke to, have been seeing increased footfalls in their showrooms for the new Scorpio and claim to have received around 45-50 bookings each.

What needs to be noted is that even though the S10 2WD trim is in demand, its waiting period of four to six weeks is similar to that of other trims. We told you earlier that Mahindra was building an inventory of nearly 5,000 Scorpios prior to the launch and this seems to have translated to minimal waiting period even for in-demand trims.

It is only the S10 4WD trim which is available on a made-to-order basis, and commands a minimum waiting period of two months as of now.
