The Tata Harrier EV, first showcased in concept guise at the Auto Expo 2023, will see its market launch by May 2025. The Harrier EV will use the brand’s new acti.ev architecture which is a heavily modified version of an existing ICE platform to support an electric powertrain. There’s no word yet on the Harrier EV’s battery capacity or range, but we expect it to sport a 60kWh battery pack that delivers about 500km of range on a single charge. The SUV will sport an electric motor on each axle, giving it an all-wheel-drive setup. Tata has even mentioned it’ll have vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capacities. Expect interior trims and exterior body panels to have some commonality with the diesel-powered Harrier, albeit with EV-specific changes, and it will likely be better equipped too. Upon launch, it will rival the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9e, Maruti e Vitara and Hyundai Creta EV.
Tata Harrier EV prices are expected to range between Rs 25-30 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata Harrier EV range can be expected to be around 500km. It is expected to be offered with a 60kWh battery.
Yes, Tata Harrier EV AWD will be offered with a dual motor setup, although entry-level variants could also come with a single-motor setup.
We do not exactly know the dimensions of Tata Harrier electric yet, but it will be based on the ICE vehicle, so expect it to be pretty similar to the existing Harrier.
Tata Harrier EV will feature a large 12.3-inch touchscreen takes centre stage on the dashboard and it also gets a touch-based panel for the HVAC controls.
The Tata Harrier EV will launch by May 2025.
