Honda has revitalized the Amaze with a comprehensive third-generation update, enhancing its styling, safety tech, and practicality. The exterior draws inspiration from the Elevate and City, while the cabin adopts a clean, functional design with improved ergonomics and class-best 416-litre boot space. Notable additions include rear AC vents, three rear headrests, and three-point seatbelts. However, rear-seat space remains limited for three adults, and headroom is tight for taller passengers.

The standout feature is Honda’s camera-based ADAS suite, offering lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking. Other highlights include auto LED headlamps, wireless charging, six airbags, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, though features like a sunroof and 360-degree camera are absent.

Under the hood, the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine is carried forward, delivering strong performance at higher RPMs but feeling weak below 2000rpm. The 5-speed manual is smooth but requires frequent downshifts. The CVT, however, is the pick of the lot, offering a seamless drive experience, and it also gets paddle shifters for manual control.

While it doesn’t outshine rivals like the Maruti Dzire, the new Amaze remains a well-rounded, refined compact sedan that appeals to buyers seeking comfort, safety, and reliability in a sub-4-meter package.
